Systems Administrator

 

Position: Systems Administrator
Office location: Newlands, Cape Town
Division: Network Operations
Reporting to: Network Operations Manager
Permanent / Contract: Permanent
Required Start Date: ASAP

Summary of position:
You will be working in a team of 4 people responsible for the daily running of Frogfoot’s ISP network. Your tasks will include building and installing Linux servers, 1st and 2nd level customer support and running a datacentre.

Technical Skills Required
* 1 Year Linux Experience
* TCP/IP Networking and Routing

Technical Skills which are Advantageous
* Debian and Ubuntu
* LPI qualifications
* Cisco switch and routers
* PHP/MySQL “LAMP” background, Wiki’s, Mailing lists
* RAID configurations, Radius, LDAP, Apache
* Basic understanding of DNS and domain registration
